Lexus LFA is a name that many car enthusiasts associate with a distinctive sound. When the brand presented the LFA Concept in December 2025, the drivetrain was instead electric. It is a striking idea: to explore whether the experience behind an icon can take on a new technical form. [1][2]
The concept has been developed as a battery-electric sports car. Lexus describes a lightweight aluminium construction that shares core ambitions with the GR GT project, and places emphasis on the driver’s position. The aim is not merely acceleration, but an experience in which the car feels like an extension of the driver. That is the manufacturer’s intention, not an independent road test. [1][2]
A name with weight
The design is low and taut, with a long, sculptural profile and a cockpit positioned close to the centre. The press images show a car that communicates direction more than final production specification. [1]
Lexus has not published a sale price or a final delivery date in the material we have reviewed. For that reason, the LFA Concept is a story about development and design, not about a model you can already order. [1][2]
That still makes it an intriguing object: an official proposal for how one of the brand’s most mythic names might live on in an electric age.
